We’re blessed with another Mookie Friday! Mookies 4th hit of tha postseason was his 4th double, coming in the game 1 win against the Padres.

Game 2 fell on Mookie’s 28th birthday. (Happy Birthday Mookie!) And boy, did he celebrate! Mookie got a couple of base hits and executed a crucial double-steal with Corey Seager, enabling himself to score on Justin Turner’s sacrifice fly from 3rd base.

Following Cody Bellinger’s stellar catch to rob Fernando Tatís Jr., Mookie defended teammate Brusdar Graterol’s celebration. Padres star 3rd baseman, Manny Machado, took exception to Graterol throwing his glove and baseball cap in victorious fashion, to which Graterol waved at Machado and blew him a kiss, prompting Machado to yell obscenities at Graterol. On his way back to the dugout, Betts waved Machado off tha field and appeared to tell him “Go! [back to your dugout].”

Mookie would say in an interview after the game, “I just feel like when he hit his home run, he threw the bat, this, that and the other. Then we take one away, we can celebrate too. There’s got to be two sides to it.”

Then came game 3 and the Dodgers smelled blood in the water. Mookie would get another double and score 3 runs for the boys in blue in the clincher.
