IN MEMORIAM – KIKÉ’S DELIVERY SERVICE

As part of our VOICES OF THE PAST film series, the Museo offers a bonus screening of KIKÉ’S DELIVERY SERVICE, one of the great masterworks of our time.

As a young witch Kiké moves to Los Angeles with his yellow banana suit.  In exchange for room and board, Kiké starts a delivery service for the kindly manager of the Dodgers, Dave Roberts.  Kiké loves his job and dashes all over the field wherever Roberts needs him to go.  But Kiké’s magic broomstick stops working sometimes, and he finds himself benched from time to time.

Then, in Game 7 of the NLCS, when his friends’ lives were on the line, Kiké dug deep within himself and found the magic within, blasting a game-tying home run into the seats to save the day!  There’s…um, there’s also a blimp and a talking cat that’s voiced by Phil Hartman.  Bet you forgot about that one, didn’t you?

The Museo Elgranarte de Gatodejazz is dedicated to bringing you the absolute finest in music, images, motion picture, and tomfoolery.  Each work of art is painstakingly curated to the most exacting standards. We bring you the most challenging, the most thought-provoking, the most rival-ribbing pieces for both enjoyment and enrichment.  We here at the Museo Elgranarte de Gatodejazz challenge you to open your mind, your heart, and your stomach to let the wonderment really flow through you.

KIKÉ’S DELIVERY SERVICE is an exercise in a frustratingly hot and cold bat.  If you believe you might have a piece to contribute to the Museo Elgranarte de Gatodejazz, please reconsider.  If you have and still think you can do better, we recommend shouting into the void.  Or posting on Twitter, idk.  You do you, boo.

All images are created by the indomitable @gatodejazz and are meant for Serious Contemplation in a Very Quiet Room after drinking some tap water to clear the pallet or as a companion to the viewing of a drag race.  Car or Queen, either is acceptable.
