My second most memorable game is Belli’s Bobblehead Night on April 13, 2019. This particular game holds a special place because not only was it the Bobblehead Night of my favorite player but that week itself had a series of events that made me appreciate going to this game even more.
Let’s just say, that week didn’t start off too well. I had been getting really bad headaches on and off during the whole week, till about Thursday when I couldn’t take it anymore and was taken to the hospital and had to stay overnight. As always your health comes first. After running various tests, doctor’s said I was fine to go home Friday Night. I gotta say I was super happy, especially since everything came out okay.
Coming home from the hospital that night and my sister was there waiting for me. My dad and her said they had a gift for me. There they told me we were going to the Dodger Game the following day. I was hella surprised and couldn’t believe it. They had thought about telling me sooner, but since they didn’t know whether or not I would be out so they told me till I got home. What a great way to end that day.
Saturday came along and I was super excited to go see the Boys In Blue. They were going up against the Brewers. A Belli vs Yelich type of game, while also seeing former Dodger Yasmani Grandal. Came the 4th Inning with a Home run with the one and only MVP. What an amazing thing for him to hit a home run on a night dedicated to him.
Despite losing against the Brewers, it was a great game. Every game has its memories and this one holds a special place.
