I know that’s a loaded question because I truly think that this loss lands on most of the team. To start Dave Roberts didn’t do a good job of managing Game 5. He put Kershaw back out in the 8th inning when it should’ve been Maeda instead of Kershaw. He also should’ve started David Freese over Beaty. Second, Kershaw threw 2 really bad sliders to Rendon and Soto and gave up back-to-back HR’s on back-to-back pitches to tie the game. Third, Joe Kelly. What happened to Joe Kelly? He gave up a game winning grand slam to Howie Kendrick in the 10th inning to put the game out of reach. If I’m being honest I blame the whole team except for 3 players. Max Muncy, Walker Buehler and Kenta Maeda. Those 3 guys were outstanding in the NLDS.
