The 2011 NL MVP award was given to Brewers OF Ryan Braun. It seems to almost every Dodgers fan at the time and even to this day thought it should’ve gone to Dodgers OF Matt Kemp. Imagine you are on the voting ballot. I am going to give to both their numbers for the season and I want to know which one you think should get the MVP.
G 151, WAR 7.7, AB 563, H 109, HRs 33, RBIs 111, 33 SB, .332 BA, .397 OBP, .597 SLG, and 984 OPS and tested positive for steroids for the 2011 season.
G 161, WAR 8.0, AB 602, H 115, HRs 39, RBIs 226, 40 SB, .324 BA, .399 OBP, .586 SLG, and .986 OPS and stayed clean.
I personally think Matt Kemp deserved the MVP award and it shouldn’t have been awarded to Ryan Braun. Not just because Braun used steroids but Kemp had an all around better season. Matt Kemp was 1 HR away from having a 40/40 season. Which means hitting 40 HRs and having 40 SB. Only 4 players in MLB history are in the 40/40 club. Alex Rodriguez, Alfonso Soriano, Barry Bonds and Jose Canseco. He was just 1 HR shy of becoming the fifth member.
Based just off the numbers. Who would you put as your 2011 NL MVP?

I agree with you. Kemp should have been the MVP despite the cheating by Braun

He should’ve easily been the MVP
