Here we are! We are exactly one week into the 2020 season, which means DodgerYard’s will be dropping daily updates of your boys in blue. As you can tell by the title, I get to cover the most electrifying man in Baseball entertainment today. Kiké Hernandez.

So how has our favorite Super Utility player done over the first week? Well, On Opening Day against the Giants, Señor Hernandez went 4-5 with 5 RBI’s and a homer to boot. Since then you ask? Since then in 24 AB’s he has 4 hits, 0 RBI’s, and 0 XBH’s. Needles to say our mustached people’s champ is struggling at the plate and has looked downright lost at some points. Defensively he’s been as steady as ever, committing no errors and having 12 assists already on the year.

So should we panic? Not at all, the season is just starting and he’s not the only Dodger struggling at the plate-looking at you Belli-either. With that being said every game matters and while his glove will keep him on the roster it’s his Bat that will get him the starts. With Gavin Lux hot on his heels Señor Hernandez needs to settle down and just have fun at the plate. Not trying to do too much is the goal and for that to happen he needs to relax. Maybe he should try yoga?

Join me again next Wednesday and every Wednesday going forward for your weekly Kiké updates.
