Blake Treinen had a fantastic NLDS. He pitched in all three games and didn’t give up any runs. Treinen looked very sharp in a scoreless 8th inning (and 1 out in the 9th) in Game 1. He struck out Tatis and Hosmer. Treinen also pitched in Game 2 and was very good, but he grazed Trent Grisham with a pitch in the 7th inning. Overall though, it was a very good outing. Treinen pitch in Game 3 as well, walking Tatis but getting Machado to ground out for the last out of the inning. Obviously, he looked a lot worse going 3 days in a row, but he was still effective.
Treinen’s basically pitched himself into being the Dodgers’ most trusted reliever and will probably be the closest thing they have to a closer right now. He’ll likely pitch against the heart of the Braves’ order in the biggest situations.
