Justin Turner’s National League Championship Series Recap.
-
We can now take a sigh of relief since our boys in blue turned a 3-1 deficit into a 4-3 World Series clinching victory. The Atlanta Braves were more than deserving to oppose our Los Angeles Dodgers for the right to represent the National League in the Fall Classic. A hat’s off to that organization and I have no doubt in my mind they will be back in the playoffs for years to come. I am going to give you a look back on how Justin Turner did during this 7 game battle.
10/12/2020: Turner had 4 at bats and did manage to get 1 hit, but he also had 1 strikeout, and left 1 runner on base as Atlanta got 4 in the 9th for a 5-1 victory and a surprise 1-0 lead in the series.
10/13/2020: Justin had 5 opportunities in this game to get a better result from the previous game, however it was not meant to be. He had 1 hit, 1 strikeout, and left 3 runners on base 2-0.
10/14/2020: The previous night’s failed comeback, carried over to Game 3 in a huge way. JT (as the DH) got hit by a pitch which loaded the bases for a Max Muncy Grand Slam (11 run 1st).
10/15/2020: In Game 3 the offense came alive, and it looked like the offense we all thought it could be, and we thought it had returned. Sadly, not in this game as Turner had 2 hits. ATL 3-1.
10/16/2020: Turner had 4 plate appearances and was able to continue his contribution like in the previous game. He had 1 hit, he also scored 1 run, as the Dodgers forced a game 6. 3-2 ATL.
10/17/2020: As I am looking back on this game I can not believe the bullpen was able to make 3 runs in the 1st inning be enough for a victory. Seager and Turner hit back 2 back home runs 3-3.
10/18/2020: Justin was able to pull off a crazy double play to eliminate runners off the base paths he tagged the runner coming home and then he threw to 3rd. This was crucial 4-3 LAD.
