Dodgers avoid arbitration with Corey Seager
-
Today the Dodgers reached an agreement with Corey Seager for $13.75 million dollars avoiding arbitration. Corey Seager is coming off his best year offensive wise. Hitting .307, with an Ops of .943. He was stellar with the bat all year long, especially in the playoffs. He finished 9th in MVP voting in the national league. The 1-2 punch of Betts and Seager was clearly something that worked even in such a small sample size. When healthy he’s one of the best overall hitters not only on the Dodgers but in the league. He combines contact with solid power which makes him a threat in many ways. 2021 should be an interesting one for Seager as he’s a free agent after the season. He’ll definitely be looking to stay healthy and repeat that offensive performance so he can get that big payday.
