    chris taylor weekly updateChris Taylor was born on August 29, 1990, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in 2012, Round 5. He played with the Clinton LumberKings and the Everett AquaSox, for the rest of 2012. The following year, he went on to play with the Jackson Generals AA and the High Desert Mavericks.

    In 2014, Taylor got the call to join the Seattle Mariners. Debuting his MLB career start on July 24th, 2014. In his first year with Seattle, he ended with a batting average of .284, with 39 hits, and 0 home runs. In 2015, he had a batting average of .197, 16 hits, while only playing for a total of 37 games.

    It was at the beginning of 2016, when Chris Taylor got traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers, playing a total of 34 games, with a batting average of .207. It was until 2017, where he finally got the chance to play more in the Major Leagues. Playing with the Dodgers for a total of 140 games, so basically most of the season. Over the course of the years his batting average has been in the range of the .250’s and up. As time has gone on, he has also played a few games with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and the Oklahoma City Dodgers

    While he was in the minor leagues, Chris Taylor was part of the Minor Leagues All Star. In 2017, he was named the NLCS MVP, alongside Justin Turner. Just this past month, in August, one of his plays got recognition as the play of the week.
