I am going to be honest with you, I was really surprised to see Alex Wood on the NLCS roster. He had resigned with the Dodgers in hopes of being a starter once again. The 2020 regular season did see him start again, but he did suffer another injury to set him back in the bullpen. Even in this 60 game season he was used very sparingly, but he was in 2 NLCS games.
10/13/2020: Alex went 1 â…” innings pitched. The former Atlanta Brave struckout 1, surrendered 2 walks, he gave up 2 hits, and was charged for 1 earned run. His earned run average was 5.40.
10/14/2020: In his 2nd and final outing of the NLCS Wood came into this game in the 8th inning of this 15-3 blowout victory. Alex, struckout 2 hitters, and didn’t allow a hit, walk, or run 3.38 era.
