adam kolarek Weekly UpdateAdam Kolarek was drafted in the eleventh by the New York Mets in 2010. He bounced around the minors for a few years, playing on the Savannah Sand Gnats, the St. Lucie Mets, and the Binghamton Mets. He also spent time in the Arizona Fall League with the Surprise Saguaros and in the Puerto Rican Winter League with the Gigantes de Carolina.

Before the 2016 season, he signed with the Tampa Bay Rays. He debuted with them on June 28, 2017.

Kolarek was then traded from Tampa Bay to the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2019. He performed really well in 11.2 innings with a .77 ERA, mostly used against left handers. Before the three batter minimum, Kolarek would sometimes play 1st base if there was a righty hitting between two lefties.

This year with the three batter minimum, there were some doubts about his ability to get hitters from both sides of the plate out. Kolarek seems to have fared well so far. As of the beginning of September 2020, he has still not allowed an earned run, proving that he can get righties out too. Adam Kolarek has provided a lot of value to the Dodgers this year.
