Corey Seager had a solid week. Going (7-26) .269. with 1 home run and 4 rbi’s. he had 2 multi-hit games, 3 walks, and 3 strikeouts. I thought even in his outs he was making solid contact, and after a rough week, it was nice to see him bounceback somewhat and get his swing in order. Felt like he didn’t chase as many pitches as usual there was definitely still some but not a lot. His at-bat quality was fine, still swings at 1st pitches a lot but that’s just who he is. 1st pitch is usually the best pitch you’ll see in an at-bat he’s going up there looking to take advantage of it. Of course, pitchers are now aware that Seager is a first pitch swinger and look to throw something that’s not a fastball over the plate but even if it’s a breaking ball Seager does a good job of recognizing it and still hitting it well. Seager is a special offensive player. Feels like he’s locked in again, and in this home stretch, it’s going to be of the utmost importance he gets hot and hit’s the ball all over the ballpark.
