Josh Sborz traded to Rangers

Josh Sborz, who was recently designated for assignment to make room for Trevor Bauer, has been traded to Rangers according to Jorge Castillo. Earlier today the Dodgers put out a list of nonroster invitees and Sborz was on it. Josh couldn’t quite make himself into a bullpen mainstay in his limited innings pitched. Hopefully, this trade helps him find a consistent role in the pen with the Rangers. The compensation for Sborz is Jhan Zambrano.

Jhan Zambrano is a nineteen-year-old starter from Venezuela. In 2019 in his lone minor league season, he pitched a combined 60 innings with an Era of 2.55 and had 52 strikeouts in those innings but also walked 16. His lone season stats.
