Hidden Gold – Saturday Sips
If you look at this drink from a distance, there’s not much to it. It’s a kinda weird color, a bit flat and boring. But agitate it a little bit and you’ll see new hidden golden, depths that sparkle. The chamomile will sooth a troubled mind, the sweetness remind you of easy times. The swirl of gold will give you the perfect place to stare as you contemplate being *mumble* games back from the Giants. Sigh.
Just like our 2021 Dodgers, this drink needs to be shaken up a little bit before you can really see it shine.
- 8oz Chilled chamomile tea (We recommend Harney & Sons)
- 2oz Triple Sec
- 1oz Chambord
- 1/2 tsp Gold sugar sprinkles
Make some chamomile tea and let it chill in the fridge until cold. In a shaker, combine the Triple Sec, Chambord, and the sprinkles and swirl well until the sprinkle sugar is dissolved. Add the chamomile tea and ice and shake well. Serve into a chilled glass for best results.
NOTES FROM THE MANAGER:
This Hidden Gold cocktail hinges on the kind of sprinkles you get – you need the sugar-based gold sprinkles like sanding sugar or coarse sugar. Basically, it needs to be shiny! Sarah’s Bake Studio has a great guide on how to tell the difference.
This drink needs to be chilled to get the best flavor, so you can absolutely serve it over ice. The gold swirls will flow around the cubes beautifully!
