Kershaw Solid for Dodgers in Victory over Diamondbacks – Weekly Recap – May 17-23

As seen in these past few games, we have seen an improvement from the whole team. From the batters to the pitchers, the Dodgers’ fight to reclaim the NL West title has begun. As we are officially a month and a half into baseball, the team still has a long way to go. As long as Kershaw and the other starters continue to put in solid performances, the Dodgers will be sitting pretty come September.

Dodgers vs. Diamondbacks – May 19th

Facing a 4 game series against Arizona meant Kershaw had to take the mound in Game 2. He pitched for a total of six innings, allowing two hits, two runs, and a home run while picking up eight strikeouts. Arizona took the lead 2-1 in the fourth inning, only to be hit with three runs in the seventh inning. The Dodgers claim victory 2-4, but reliever Joe Kelly picked up the win for this one.

As of now, the Dodgers are 9-1 in their last 10 games, with the added bonus of sweeping the Giants this past weekend.

Have the Dodgers found their groove? Whatever it is they are doing it seems to be working out in their favor, so keep up the good work and keep improving cause the season still has a long way to go. Hopefully by next week we will have some of our star players back from the IL to help reinforce the lineup. With solid outings from Kershaw and the other starters, the Dodgers will do just fine.
