Kershaw Squares Off Against the Marlins

Kershaw Squares Off Against the Marlins – Weekly Recap: May 10-15

With the recent injury of our World Series MVP Corey Seager (yet another starting player on the injured list) and the addition of Albert Pujols, the Dodgers are definitely living in intersting times.  This week, Clayton Kershaw squared off against the Miami Marlins in the opener of a three game series at home. Before the game, former Dodger and current Marlin Dylan Floro picked up his World Series ring in the clubhouse.  Floro was traded in February and has since posted a .96 ERA.  Good job, Dylan!

Dodgers vs. Miami Marlins

With Kershaw on the bump, the Dodgers rapidly took the lead, up 8-0 before the end of the second inning. The Marlins struck back the third, with an RBI single from Garrett Cooper and a three-run homer from slugger Adam Duvall, putting the score at 8-4.

Kershaw came back in the fourth to put up a zero with two strikeouts. His final line on the night: 6 innings, with 6 hits, 5 runs, 5 ER, and 11 strikeouts.

Could it be possible that the Dodgers have woken up from this losing streak? Keeping in mind that many of our star players are in the IL, which is definitely making a huge impact in the organization, not to mention to the players.  We all wish a speedy recovery to our players because hey, this season is far from over.
