Bellinger Injury Update

Why Belli, why!?!?

As Dodger fans were eager to see the boys in blue return home for their home opener, eyes were on Belli and Mookie as to what this star duo would perform once playing together for the first time home with fans. Sadly that was not the case for either one, and Betts and Bellinger both suffered an injury.

April 5th – Spiked at First

As the game was reaching its end, all looked fine until the 9th inning when Bellinger collided with the A’s pitcher Reymin Guduan.  This resulted in a left calf injury for Bellinger. While his recovery seems on track, best to keep Bellinger off the lineup to see how things progress.

Update

April 6th & 7th – Out of lineup

April 9th – Home Opener and Bellinger Injury Update

With a 3-day rest period for Belli, the question still remained as to whether would return to the lineup or be placed on IL. It was announced Friday that he would be placed on the IL, with the earliest return date, April 16th.

Fans still got to see Belli as the Dodgers were given their World Champions rings. I think we can all agree that it was truly amazing seeing them receive something that they put their blood, sweat, and tears into. What better way to do it than in front of their fans, who have waited for the moment their team becomes the Champions they always have been.

April 10th & 11th – IL leave

As the season has just begun, it is for the best to let him rest as much as possible while we wait for another Bellinger injury update. He plays a big role on the team, and while he is missed in the lineup, no need to worry cause our boys in blue have proven on multiple occasions that missing a few key players like Mookie or Belli is not going to stop them.
