There are always times of great upheaval during financial crisis, and according to the photographer, this family was no different. Though their names have been withheld, it is known that while the father prospered during a difficult time, his son’s school was routinely underfunded. This portrait was taken after the child switched to a new district, one more convenient and closer to home so that they might see more of each other in the future. Hence the name Son Moves to New School District. It’s like, right there in the title.
