CLAYTON KERSHAW: SPRING TRAINING WEEK 4 RECAP

CLAYTON KERSHAW: SPRING TRAINING WEEK 4 RECAP

Well everybody we are officially less than a week until Opening Day!! Man, it feels like it’s been forever since the last time we saw them play, not of course including Spring Training.

While Spring Training is just a slight taste as to what is next to come, I think I can speak on behalf of all us that getting to have fans in the stadium once more is something we all missed. Being able to cheer on our boys in blue as the champions they are, is the best feeling ever.

As we all prepare to have baseball for the next few months, let’s see how our Opening Day pitcher did in his final games of Spring Training.

It wasn’t his best start, so to give him time he was sent to a B game against the Brewers on March 21st.

He pitched for a total 5 ⅓ innings and gave up 4 hits, 2 runs and 6 K’s.

Stats from that game

This gave him time to relax and prepare for his next and final start of Spring Training on March 26th against Oakland.

Let’s just say it was not at all his best. Kershaw lasted for 3 ⅓ innings, giving up a total of nine hits, nine runs (eight earned), and two BB. It was definitely something that we did not expect to happen but that does not reflect everything Kershaw’s got.

Next time we see him on the mound will be on Opening Day.

I’m sure that the feeling of coming out to pitch on not only Opening Day but as a World Champion is something that Kershaw will never forget and will give him the strength to pull through this season.
