Dodgers and Austin Barnes avoid arbitration with 2-year deal
According to Ken Rosenthal, the Dodgers and Austin Barnes came to an agreement on a two-year deal with $4.3 million to avoid arbitration. In January, the Dodgers and Barnes couldn’t come to an agreement leading many fans to think there could be a multi-year deal incoming. In 2021 Barnes will earn $1.8 million with a $300k signing bonus. In 2022 he will earn $2.5 million with a $400k incentive tied into his contract that he will receive if he plays in 80 games in each of the next two seasons.
