Which players will step up in the bullpen this season?

Who will step up in our bullpen this season? That a question I’ve been thinking a lot about.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have a stacked bullpen already coming off a 2020 World Series win but losing Alex Wood, Jake McGee, and Pedro Baez all to free agency. It seems that we need someone else or multiple players to step up this year for us.

Now, we have a strong three to four players who already provide for us and are consistent. Players such as Julio Urias, Blake Treinen, and Brusdar Graterol. If I forget anyone, then please let me know.

I personally was so excited when I heard the news that the Dodgers traded for RPH Corey Knebel from the Milwaukee Brewers. A ton of fans didn’t like this move at all. I disagree entirely. Knebel can, and I think will have a bounce-back 2021 season.

Corey Knebel should have the opportunities to be what he was in 2017 for the Brewers. Yes, I know all about his 6.08 earned run average last season. He has done it before, and the Dodgers front office obviously sees that still in him. Injuries ruined his 2018 and 2019 seasons. I believe that is why he had such a subpar 2020 season. His body still wasn’t fully healed from

Also, one other player I believe will step up in our bullpen is Dustin May. He finished the 2020 season with a 2.57 earned run average, but he was a starter most of the year. Dustin is still very young (23 years old and has a lot to learn but, seeing him coming out of the pen would make more sense than him starting in the 6th spot in a six-man rotation. Especially after the recent Trevor Bauer signing (basically pushing May out of a starting spot). May did very well in the 2020 season and did better than I thought in the postseason.
