The Astros press conference was a joke

Earlier today the Houston Astros organization held a press conference. The Astros owner Jim Crane talked and took basically all the questions. Everything he said was stupid and complete bullshit. Crane at one point said “our players should not be punished”. Ok, why shouldn’t they be punished? They cheated! They cheated to win a championship and they shouldn’t be punished. I am waiting for the day when one Astros player apologizes to us Dodgers fans specifically. Sadly, that will never happen.

A couple Astros players talked for a combined 1 minute and 25 seconds. All-Star third baseman Alex Bregman and All-Star second baseman José Altuve.

I did not believe any of their apologies. Bregman said “I am really sorry about the choices that were made by our team, our organization and by me”. If you watched his part. He doesn’t sound sincere about anything. Bregman just wanted to get some heat off himself. Actually by that pathetic apology he made it worse for the Astros and himself.

After Bregman spoke Altuve went up for about 30-40 seconds. Altuve said “… the whole organization and the team feels bad for what happened in 2017”. Just like Bregman, Altuve was not sincere at all with his apology. What did they think would happen after the press conference? Did they expect everyone to forgive them and be ok with them cheating? No, everyone is still really pissed about them stealing signs and banging trash cans to win a World Series championship.

There has only been one current Astros player who I believe who apologized and that is Carlos Correa. Correa said after the press conference was over “There is no excuse. We were wrong for everything we did in 2017. We feel really sorry because we know we affected our careers. We affected the game in some way, and looking back at it it was bad”.  courtesy – @molly_knight

This entire Astros press conference today has really made me angry. I hate the whole Astros organization. Their press conference was not believable and just to say “they’re sorry” when we all know they absolutely do not mean it.

Houston Astros are a pathetic organization and there needs to be more punishments handed out, but we all know Manfred won’t do shit anyway.
