Reflection and Appreciation.

With everything going on with the untimely death of Kobe it’s given me an opportunity to reflect on how I’ve been harboring negative feelings towards some Dodgers players instead of appreciating what they bring. The majority of that negativity has gone towards Kiké. Now, while I can appreciate the energy he brings, the fun he has and although while I’ve never met him he seems like a genuinely nice guy. For whatever reason, I’ve been foolish and trash him till no end. I must admit, I do get a kick out of trashing him or rolling my eyes, or under my breath saying inning over just for him to hit a bomb or get the Dodgers going in that inning. I’d sit here and come up with trade scenarios, just to get rid of him. why? Why couldn’t I just appreciate him for what he is and what he brings to the table? Instead of looking at my own faults, I blamed the fans for making it seem like he was some kind of star. I use to scoff at fans praising him but I was the idiot who was perceiving it wrong. They were simply appreciating Kiké for what and who he is, and that’s an unsung hero. A player who plays the game with energy and passion, the love of the game. From now on I’m going to enjoy watching someone play with joy, appreciate all the little things he does. Kiké, you probably won’t read this, you certainly didn’t know about this, but I’m sorry. Thank you, for all that you do for the game of baseball and outside the game of baseball. You are an unsung hero, and I look forward to enjoying watching you play Baseball this season.
